All great points! Other thing I could think of, is if Twitch somehow exposes a sort of most streaming games. The most currently watching is pretty easy to see. Twitch has the benefit of being cross platform as well.
I only noticed the L depth after thinking about it, so the vast majority never will. And then after more thinking I'm not sure there's a good fix. I say try a dark red in that opening, but if it doesn't work it doesn't work. It's not worth covering up the N for it I don't think.
And for the angles, in the wikipedia image I linked I was just pointing out the middle row of examples, the isometric, dimetric, trimetric. What they show is shrinking/skewing the view of two sides to give better depth, and the example angles show it doesn't have to change much to make a big difference. These would require rebuilding the logo from the ground up though, and I'm not trying to throw out all your hard work hah.
